Made your garage choice a bit more special when you can attempt vehicle specific challenges that really takes you all around the map. But it feels like it has a stronger story progression and I liked the individual car challenges. But you will notice a leap in fidelity and activity variety in 4.įH2 I’ve played the least and I keep meaning to spend time with.įH1 is pretty great, but the physics are not nearly as well implemented looking back. Still most downgrades from 4 aren’t that dramatic and it’s still perfectly enjoyable. The player participates in the Horizon Festival, a fictional racing competition set within Southern France and Northern Italy.
#Forza horizon 2 map vs forza horizon 3 series
The series has always been well received, but it was Forza Horizon 3. Not a dealbreaker as it’s probably my personal fav, but I have nostalgia for it and a newcomer may appreciate some of the upgrades in 4. From 2009, three years after Sega acquired the studio, Football Manager matches. It also runs only 30fps on XSX and the HDR implementation isn’t great.

Still a great time though, but FH4 just expanded on the concept quite a bit. UK just isn’t as strong a location as some of the others were, and the FH3 DLC was a bit more interesting, but what is here is still very good.įH3 has a fantastic location, great Hot Wheels DLC, but is pretty dry in progression. Oh abd the Horizon Stories are fun and interesting gimmick challenges, better devised than the more dry approach of so earlier entries. The seasons are a gimmick, but do give a bit of variety to the map aesthetic and feel.

The playlist gives a lot of daily/weekly challenges to do beyond the map fluff for constant bonus cars and rewards. It also has some nice QoL features like being able to swap cars at any time(without driving/traveling to a home). FH4 will look and play absolutely the best on your XSX.
